Ever feel like you're doing yourself a disservice by running with earphones on? With all the dangers of running outdoors, I don't turn up my headphones too loudly, but I still worry about plugging sound out from my ear(s). If not for safety, then for the sake of the cilia in my ears...
I was sent these headphones to review, which are different in that they don't actually go inside your ear.

The unit stays on because it wraps around the back of your head and hooks atop your ears. I haven't had any problems with this, and it even has a mic!
The packaging... it comes with a case!
This is definitely not for train commutes, though... I like plugging my ears up from any and all sounds on there (although I probably shouldn't!).

How was the sound quality? I would think there would be a lot of "noise" not plugging into your ears. I am intrigued though! I have seen them for swimming but it was several years ago and they went across your cheekbones. I figured it was a fad.

Got a pair to review too. I was really surprised to find out that they actually worked! FYI this is the same technology that will transmit sound on Google Glass. These are really good for specific situations (like trail running, maybe during a race, outdoors around cars, etc.) I like using them at the gym since I workout with a coworker, so we can still chat every now and then. But for running, I would much prefer to drown out the sounds of cars driving by (although the purpose is to be able to hear cars honking or for danger..)
